Job Description
An experienced Shale Gas Geologist within the Oil and Gas sector. You will need a degree in Geology with an advanced degree preferred and ideally come with a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in the oil & gas industry. You will contribute to a team exploring and developing Shale properties and handling the operational geology aspects for the Shale.
A strong technical background in structural geology and geophysics and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely is a distinct advantage. You will interpret and evaluate subsurface geologic data to construct integrated maps cross sections and other geologic displays defining subsurface structure reservoir geometries net sand and pay hydrocarbon pore volume and other essential economically significant interpretations.
You will also be expected to supervise and perform on-site open hole well-site geologic evaluations while coordinating open-hole evaluation tools and service company vendors.
Successful applicants will be expected to work closely with the exploration manager and other geologists to obtain manipulate and interpret computer databases and mapping programs.
