Main Duties:

Provide advice and guidance to the Project Manager and the project delivery team on all matters of Quality Management.

The development, maintenance and implementation of the Project Quality Plan.

Assist in the management of quality risks in accordance with the risk management system.

Facilitate project process owners in establishing their delivery processes and procedures.

Direct a team of competent and experienced QC personnel where established.

Plan and conduct internal audit activities.

Implement action tracking on Project, and manage corrective action and non-conformance closeout.

Provide input and support to the subcontractor/supplier evaluation processes and monitor subcontractor/supplier performance:

Ensure consistent quality input to equipment specifications

Provide quality input into the Purchase Order Quality Requirements

Review and input into Criticality Ratings

Provide quality input to the technical evaluation

Attend bid clarification and kick-off meetings

Review System Quality Plans and Manufacturing & Test Quality Plans and identify Witness and Hold points as appropriate

Conduct assessment visits/audits to suppliers and sub-contractors as appropriate.

Organise awareness training in the project Quality Management System, procedures and applications as necessary.

Liaise between the Project and the customer on all matters related to Project Quality Management.

Ensure that the necessary Quality Records are identified and retained in accordance with Project, client and regulatory requirements.

Provide quality input to a continuous improvement process, including a process of measuring customer satisfaction.

Provide performance data as requested for reporting purposes and attend Project progress meetings as directed by the Project Manager.

Education & Qualifications:

HNC or equivalent in an engineering related field.

Professional: Member/Associate of Chartered Quality Institute

Has successfully completed a recognised Auditor training course

Has QMS experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry

Has experience of process and system auditing, preferably in the oil and gas industry

Has a good knowledge of management systems including ISO 9001:2008 and its application to projects

Experience:

Held/holding a Senior Quality Engineer position within the oil and gas industry.
