Job Description
Senior Production Technologist
A medium size European operator is looking to identify a senior production technologist on a staff basis. The main areas of responsibilities will be:
* Field development planning and well implementation
* Well and completion concept selection and design
* Well modelling and integrated production system modelling
* Workover programmes
* Well integrity assurance
* Development of new and improved techniques for well completions and re-completions
Challenges involved:
Production from tight reservoirs in maturing fields requiring state-of-the-art well technologies for advanced completions, stimulation treatments, surveillance & intervention in order to optimise production from long horizontal, multilateral and HPHT wells.
Reporting to the Head of Well Technology.
This position requires strong technical and analytical skills, combined with an ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of petroleum engineers, production and drilling operations teams. The candidate is expected to be a production technology professional with at least 10 years of industry experience, preferably with an Operator, including extensive knowledge of, and a proven record of completions design, using state-of-the-art well modelling software packages and applying new well technologies. In addition to the necessary technical skills, candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to evaluate and support operational activities.
