Senior Production Operations Engineer

A Large South American Operating company are looking to identify a Production Operations Engineer to be based in Houston on a Staff basis.

Job Summary

Promote and ensure the identification of opportunities for growth, development and optimisation of the deposits and infrastructure (facilities) for which he/she is responsible, in order to maximise the financial value to the Affiliate.
Work with a multidisciplinary team of geoscientists and engineers responsible for evaluating new E&P opportunities, the current portfolio and the development of the EAI fields.


Description of Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in the conceptual evaluation of analyses, in the technical evaluation of new opportunities and in the search for new business within the scope of his/her duties.
Ensure exploitation of the fields for which he/she is responsible by applying the best criteria for the administration of deposits and using appropriate technologies to operate them, in order to maximise their economic value.
Ensure the definition and execution of the operations plan with regard to production engineering and reliability processes, extraction, recovery, treatment, processing, well and facilities maintenance, storage and delivery of crude or gas in keeping with the Affiliate's objectives.
Set the volume commitments for crude, gas, refined and white products, as the case may be.
Ensure that technical and operational diagnostics are performed, as well as the implementation of actions to optimise the crude production and gas treatment processes.
Ensure reliable measurement of hydrocarbons and deliverable products.
Ensure the timely delivery of crude, gas, derivatives and white products at the agreed-upon points and in the required quality conditions.
Structure expense and investment budgets.
Manage the contracting required to carry out the operation, following the corporate guidelines.
Be responsible for the costs of the fields that he/she administers.
Ensure compliance with the programs established in the production loss control plan.
Ensure that the investment projects generated during the useful life of the fields being exploited are properly planned and monitored.

Follow up, evaluate, and oversee the projects, programs and activities for which the office is responsible.
As the owner of information and as a computer user, undertake and carry out the specific duties and responsibilities established by the set of rules on information security.
Handle such other duties as are assigned by his/her immediate superior.
