Duration: 12 months initially
Our client based in Kazakhstan is seeking to recruit a Senior Planning Engineer Offshore to support the Hook Up Offshore Manager oversee the execution coordination and reporting of planning management and progress measurement and related activities for the installation and Hook UP work executed Offshore.
The role will involve:
Providing full planning work management and analysis of installation Hook up and pre -commissioning / commissioning activities and related work packages as well as procurement of materials and equipment.
Work releases will form the basis for work execution based on individual job cards and work activities
Ensuring plans are tracked and reported. Evaluating analyzing highlighting and offering solutions to trends that may result in schedule slippages.
Being pro-active in all matters relating to Planning and Risk Analysis and maintain all plans in readiness for timely reporting.
Conducting compliance reviews of contractor to insure accuracy and content of data received.
Conducting productivity reviews.
Preparing weekly monthly and other reports or presentation on schedule and relevant progress.
Ensuring that all interfaces are identified agreed and reviewed with management on a regularly basis.
Ensuring that all short term critical tasks are reviewed with management on a regularly basis.
Assisting in the development and maintaining of the department budget cost estimates as required.
Maintaining close liaison with other company departments associated with Kashagan Development.
Assisting with the preparation of materials to be presented to management partners and auditors
Role Requirements:
Engineering HND or equivalent with previous experience either in planning or in project management role.
Experience in Petrochemical Projects.
Experience in working directly or indirectly for a major oil company.
Experience in preparing and executing control procedures for planning.
Experience in Project installation hook-up pre-commissioning start-up sequence and logic planning.
The candidate needs to demonstrate strong design & construction and logistics experience and be able to identify and provide solutions to schedule and planning problems.
Knowledge of computer based planning tools e.g. MS Project / Primavera P3 and P3ec including Microsoft suite e.g. Excel Word and PowerPoint.
Familiar with the operational aspects of offshore production and platform facilities and offshore operations is preferred but is not a prerequisite for this position.
Ability to prepare strategic plans to ensure that the planning tools are capable of meeting the companys operational and business needs.
Ability to assist in management reviews of existing appraisal work activities and performance measurement.
Ability to create/update planning estimating/control methods to reflect the latest engineering and Project Execution philosophies.
