Job Description
A global world leader in design engineering consulting services to Oil & Gas operating company's is looking to identify a Senior Mechanical Engineer
The successful person will provide expert Mechanical Engineering services and development initiatives for specific Assess, Select, (FEED) & Detail Engineering projects, including but not limited to:
* Preparation of BOD's, Scopes of Work, Technical Specifications, Data Sheets and Material Requisitions
* Technical Bid Evaluation and analysis
* Review and approval of vendor data
* Inspection and test verification for mechanical equipment
* Preparation and submission of calculations
* Preparation and submission of installation and commissioning procedures
* Installation audits and equipment assessment
* Input into POPM's, maintenance strategies and spare parts reviews
* To participate in, and in some instances lead, Hazops, Design reviews, Safety and Facility audits
* Provide input into proposal estimates and schedules
* Able to undertake site visits as required to support ongoing design
* Willing to accept short assignments at Client oil and gas facilities
Qualifications / Skills Required:
* Degree with honours in Mechanical Engineering
* Professional membership with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or equivalent
* Demonstrated ability to work within a multidiscipline team with strong interpersonal and team building skills
* Experience in executing the above Responsibilities for the following equipment : - pressure vessels, heat exchangers (various types), utility and process packages
* Significant experience in the processes, systems and equipment employed within the on and offshore oil and gas industry through the identification, screening of development concepts, FEED and detail design phases
* Knowledge and understanding of applicable design standards
* Previous practical exposure to construction and commissioning stages of projects
