Job Description
Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Sakhalin Russia
Rate: Negotiable
Duration: 12 months
Rotation: 7 weeks on 3 weeks off
Our Client:
- A major independent international service contractor to oil gas and other process industries
The role:
- Provide discipline specific technical expertise at a technical authority level in support of client engineering design requirements
-To ensure that all project risks affecting start up requirements are identified assessed and mitigated against and closed through achieving ALARP risk levels
-Experience in engineering requisition survey scope of works technical bid evaluations technical deviations
-Experience in scoping out work estimating planning and progress reporting together with project change control
-Provide discipline expertise during trouble shooting in project commissioning phases
-Develop project risk registers defining key risks to start-up of the overall projects
-Develop validation & verification requirements to ensure a flawless delivery
-Review results of verifications and advise on required mitigations to overcome foreseen risks to projects
-Define requirements for and participate in assurance activities to assess effectiveness in closure of risks
Essential skills and qualifications:
-BSc / Msc in Mechanical engineering
- Ability to provide operational support and participation in commissioning activities
-Strong technical competence in the discipline
-Proven experience in the design office and on site during commissioning and construction phases of major onshore / offshore brown field projects
-Russian/CIS experience
-Experience in projects in cold/ remote regions
