Our Client has a vacancy for a Senior Materials Controller, based in Aberdeen. This is a contract position.

Main Duties:
Supervision of Shutdown Material Control process, tracking tools and personnel and provide effective communication line to client focal points.
Supervision of client sub-contracted logistics provider on all material related issues including but not limited to storage, issues & receipts, despatch, manifesting and shipping as well as repairs & returns.
Responsible for all third party controlled materials and long term storage stock materials and associated preservation programmes.
Provide supervision and guidance to the Service Team leads, Onshore Material Controllers and Central Equipment Base for control of plant & equipment.
Focal point for complete shipping process from call-off and outward manifesting to offshore receipt and backload material dispersal.
Ensure control of all Item Master materials records in Maximo and provide a cost effective and efficient materials management service through accurate and right-first-time data entry.
Focal point for system Inventory data control including maintaining re-order, min-max & economic order quantity levels.
Provide Onshore & Offshore 'Storeroom' management & governance through regular recordable and auditable cyclical stock-checks.
Champion the Maximo Item Master data integrity process and provide assistance to end-user community through training and coaching.
Perform thorough research with vendors, manufacturers and distributors to ensure accurate & full descriptions & certification requirements for new materials.
Liaise with Maintenance Spares Engineers and Technical Focal Points to ensure accurate recording & control of critical, rotating and insurance spares.
Focal Point for Project Maximo Cataloguing process from initial request through to Inventory and providing support to Maintenance, Engineering, Drilling and Operations.

Experience:
Extensive experience in the Oil and Petrochemical Industry with experience in offshore applications.
