Role: Senior HV Engineer
Location: Daresbury, Cheshire
Duration: Permanent or Temp to Perm
Rate: Negotiable on experience

The Role:
- Identify and deliver individual or team-based Electrical Engineering consultancy assignments.
- Lead work packages covering electrical distribution systems protection and power quality studies, packaged substations and feasibility studies.
- Provide expert advice on all aspects of electrical safety.
- Provide design expertise on operational, switching and maintenance aspects of High Voltage (HV) electrical systems in a process environment,
- Auditing and validation.
- Operational experience is essential for this role.
Qualifications/Skills
- Recognised expertise in HV systems including protection and control with extensive design and preferred operations experience.
- Knowledge of and experience in UK and European electrical safety regulations.
- Familiarity of DSEAR.
- Knowledge of all aspects of electrical maintenance and project work associated with the process industries including Electrical Protection Systems.
- Good working knowledge of electrical high voltage switchgear (up to 33 kV), high power DC rectification and 415 volt systems is required.
- Power systems SCADA experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with UPS systems and operation would be an advantage
Significant experience in a similar position/field
- Degree or equivalent
- Chartered Status would be a distinct advantage
