Job Description
An experienced Senior Geophysicist within the Oil and Gas sector. You will need a degree in Geophysics with an advanced degree preferred, and ideally come with a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in the oil & gas industry. A strong technical background in structural geology and geophysics and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely is a distinct advantage. In addition the ability to produce high quality seismic interpretation products in a business driven environment is required.
As a Senior Geophysicist you will provide and maintain sound geophysical models (structural and/or stratigraphic) and prepare integrated seismic interpretations (2D/3D) in assigned areas/fields for the purpose of planning, designing and optimizing well drilling programs, field development plans as well as reserve and economic evaluations.
Successful applicants will be expected to work closely with Geologists and Petrophysicists to integrate seismic and petrophysical data into the geological model, and will report to the Exploration Manager.
