URGENT REQUIREMENT

Senior Environmental Engineer

Role:
* To assist in the execution of engineering & environmental assessment tasks in support of engineering projects & consultancy studies.

Candidate Requirements:
* MSc Qualified in a Relevant Discipline & preferably Chartered Status
* Proven track record of 6-8 years as an Environmental Engineer in Oil & Gas Sector
* A Good Team Player with Excellent Communication Skills is Essential
* Able to participate in ENVID workshops and attend HAZID & HAZOP workshops
* Understanding of environmental engineering activities relevant to upstream oil & gas projects
* Experience of input into documentation to define, let and manage EIA/ESIA and other relevant environmental studies
* Familiar with principles, design & suitability of environmental mitigation measures systems
* Knowledge of the principles of BAT and ALARP expected
* Some experience of all relevant environmental issues - waste management, effluent, air emissions, water and social impacts
* Knowledge World Bank and IFC guidelines
* Familiar with EIA work and its influence and impact upon engineering design
* Experience of carrying out environmental audits as part of a team for larger audits and capable of carrying out smaller audits unsupervised
* Able to provide environmental input into proposals, FEED and EPC projects - to include input into scopes of work, schedules and manhour estimates
* Computer literate (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and familiar with the capabilities and output from relevant modelling packages (Groundwater and air emission models)
* Willing to travel within the UK & short trips overseas in support of project work
