Senior Engineer job in USA
Job Description/Duties:
Successful candidate will perform reservoir engineering analyses utilizing deterministic methods
to define remaining and ultimate recoverable reserves for oil and gas reservoirs. North America
fields in both onshore and offshore including deepwater are the primary activity set. Reserve
classification for all categories PDP PDNP PUD Prob Poss is required. Production analysis of
historical performance and reconciliation with pore volume estimates is required.
Candidate must be able to organize large amounts of data and information including production
and well histories log data as well as pressure temperature and volumetric data. Basic
understanding of petrophysical aspects of reservoirs and log calculations is needed.
Candidate will be required to present technical analyses and review their work product with
clients. Ability to organize presentations and all relevant supporting information and data is
necessary.
Candidate will be responsible for allocating resources and developing and managing project
plans. The candidate will be responsible for review other work products to ensure consistency and
accuracy. The candidate will also provide mentoring and guidance to other technical staff
including engineers geologists and geophysicists.
Job Requirements including Education Experience & Other Requirements
Engineering degree is preferred with 10 years of professional technical work experience in
reservoir and production operations. A strong background in reservoir engineering including
material balance production declines pore volume production forecasting and economics is
required. Familiarity with surface facilities pipeline and processing plants is desired. Some
resource planning and leadership experience is important.
A high level of proficiency with MS Excel Word and Power Point is necessary. Experience with
Aries Petra and PHDWin is desired.
Successful track record of assessing reserves and prospects and identifying viable exploitation
and exploration opportunities.
