My client in Aberdeen is currently looking for a Senior Electrical Test/Project Engineer. The company has bases all across Europe and has established itself as one of the market leaders in their field. Client Preferred Specification:

· HNC/HND or Graduate Electrical Engineer.

· Knowledge of Partial Discharge in relation to switchgear, motors and generators.

· Testing of machines using Phase Current Analysis.

· Static testing of electrical machines IR, PI, Hi-Pot and Surge Testing.

· Dielectric Loss Analysis and Tan Delta Testing.

· Able to assess the labour involvement to carry out site inspections to rotating equipment.

· The supervision of a team of skilled technicians carrying out machine overhauls both on and offshore.

· The ability to train technicians in the operation of test equipment.

· To set up and carry out load testing to motors and generators in the workshop environment.

· Relay and Protection testing to Electrical distribution systems.

· Able to work as part of a team.

· Computer literate and able to produce detailed reports.

Duties will include testing equipment across the UK and also going offshore and abroad when required, so someone willing to travel would be ideal.

Salary will be around £30K with a day rate when away on jobs, making the on target earnings around £45-50K per annum.
