Our client intends to build, own and operate a hydrocracking complex in Egypt. This new hydrocarbon processing facility will derive feeds from an existing adjacent refinery complex. New process units will include a vacuum distillation unit, high severity hydrocracker, delayed coker, diesel hydrotreater, naphtha hydrotreater, low pressure naphtha reformer, amine treating units and sulphur recovery units.

The hydrocracking complex will be designed, built and operated to the highest international environmental and health and safety standards.

WorleyParsons scope is for the provision of Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the FEED, EPC contractor selection and EPC phases of the project.

We are currently sourcing Sr Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience, with at least 5 years in refinery / petrochemical / fertilizer projects in Lead Design Engineer position. An Engineering Degree in Electrical is a must. Middle East experience on similar projects would be an advantage. Thorough knowledge of international codes/standards and recommended practices used in electrical equipment and cables in refineries / petrochemical plants is a must. Preferably should have been a part of PMC team and have participated in the review/approval of FEED / EPC contractors electrical engineering calculations, selection, drawings & documents, etc. in a major project.

Location & Contract Duration:

The assignment on the refinery project would be for 3-4 years (12-18 months engineering ; 18-30 months construction (must be approved for construction period as well), however the employment contract duration with WP would be open ended. Initial work location is Seoul , during the detailed design and procurement phase of the project. Once construction starts, personnel will be required to relocate to the refinery jobsite in Cairo .
