Job Description
This hugely successful global organisation is developing and growing. They currently require an exceptional individual to lead the mechanical design team. For this role they require an enthusiastic, committed and driven lead design engineer.
The successful candidate will have a resilient 'can-do' attitude and be comfortable and proficient at working to deadlines. Enthusiasm, self-motivation and a strong desire to succeed are essential for this challenging but rewarding role. The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level (or similar) in Mechanical Engineering and experience of AutoCAD / Autodesk Inventor and a major Product Data Management system would certainly be advantageous. Exposure to slickline tools, wireline systems, wellhead pressure control equipment and / or subsea Christmas trees would be very useful and a good understanding of manufacturing methods and associated costs is essential. Candidates who have considerable experience as design engineer or lead design engineer would be suited.
Day to day activities will centre around the production, checking and sign-off of engineering designs and associated documentation and the supervision of other team members. Additionally, project management will be required - including modelling, draughting, testing etc, consistently communicating with clients, suppliers, contractors and other team members to ensure project are completed on budget and on time.
