Our Client has a vacancy for a Senior Desalination Specialist.  This is a permanent position, based in Saudi Arabia.

As Senior Desalination Specialist, you will manage the Engineering Works of Desalination project held in the area by developing adequate engineering systems and procedures to ensure accurate proposal and efficient project execution. Handling the responsibility for the delivery, profitability and quality of the project outcome by overseeing and managing all policies and procedures related to project engineering, establishing adequate standards for excellence and performance indicators to evaluate overall performance against work objective and ensuring that the work are being done in a timely and professional manner.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
Supervising the implementation of Policies, Goals and Strategies.
Supervising the implementation of the Project plans related to engineering and design activities, as well as ensuring their compliance with company's rules and policies.
Developing project engineering plan; assigning engineering work activities, monitoring work flow, reviewing and evaluating work methods and procedures, and directing such activities to serve project goals and plans.
Ensuring that engineering and design instructions, circulars and organizational and technical decisions are followed and applied at appropriate time.
Manage project scope preparation for plant different discipline.
Manage preliminary bid design for the plant.
Manage/Prepare Equipment specification.
Formulate technical enquiries to potential suppliers/sub-contractors for the supply and erection of the entire plant equipment, and forward to Proposal dept.
Manage the Engineering of the project upon contract award.
Manage/Prepare bill of quantities.
Providing regular reports and deliverables required by the Clients/Company Management and assisting in resolving any upcoming conflicts or discrepancies.
Leading the development of methods, procedures and plans for the work related functions and supervising the associated implementation.
Ensuring the proper management and control of all tasks and activities of the work at all stages and conditions in order to ensure delivering outcomes within the required timeframe, budget and quality.
Studying project and building proposal documents, and reviewing the developed plans and programs, as well as fostering the use of various time management tools and methods to control changes to schedules.

Qualifications and experience required:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Power Engineering.
Substantial experience in the Desalination Plant Package Design.
Knowledge of Desalination construction methods and procedures, and the Desalination Process.
Project Management skills.

The salary for this role is $2000 - $4000 USD per month.
