Senior Completion Engineer. HPHT focus- Aberdeen United Kingdom
Our client has now commenced the planning phase of a high profile HPHT development in The UK North Sea they are looking to add a Senior Completion Engineer to their team to work on these technically challenging projects.
Position Summary
The Senior Completion Engineer will be based in Aberdeen and will be part of the established dedicated drilling and completion engineering team reporting directly to the HPHT team leader.
The specific responsibilities will be well design DST design and planning various completion simulations close liaison with the subsurface team operational planning and follow up documentation etc.
Due to the nature of the operation additional emphasis will be placed on knowledge management and while issues like company wide knowledge sharing experience transfer documentation of lessons learnt etc. will be the responsibility of the entire team then the candidate will have a special role in this important task.
Required Experience
The person must hold an engineering degree or equivalent and have demonstrable experience in completions operations part of this in a completion engineering or production technology capacity.
HPHT experience is beneficial whereas the ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the completion engineering discipline and a pronounced desire and eagerness to learn about new technology and subsequently be ready to share this knowledge in our technical networks and other discipline related communities.
Good communication and social skills effective across a broad spectrum of nationalities and cultures is a must and other personal skills would include the ability to work effectively in a team as well as the capacity to handle complex and challenging tasks often more than one at a time.
Proficiency in both spoken and written English is mandatory as is the requirement for high ethical standards loyalty integrity and trustworthiness.
