Our Client has a vacancy for a Senior Civil Engineer, based in Aberdeen. This is a contract position.

Responsibilites:
Responsible for design, specification and services related to civil engineering aspects of onshore Oil & Gas Plants in relation to equipment foundations, roads, culverts, bridges, pipe racks and road crossings.
To provide cost effective innovative engineering designs, which are safe, environmentally acceptable and conform to agreed codes of practice.
Execute engineering activities (Detailed Design).
Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures and regulations.
Ensure that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
Keep up-to-date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline scope.
Review and check work output of discipline assigned staff as required.
Responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance.

Qualifications:
Supervisory and organisational skills.
Good communicator with good interpersonal skills.
Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of onshore civil engineering.
Ability to focus on customer requirements.
Competent in the design of onshore civil engineering solutions for the oil & gas industry, specifically onshore related.
Proven relevant experience in the industry, of which should be in a similar position.
Appropriate Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (preferred) or minimum HNC qualification.
