Our client has a vacancy for a Senior CAD Technical based in Nigeria.

As Senior CAD Technical your main responsibilities will include:

• Production of detailed architectural or structural and building structure drawings to time and budget


• Supervision of all aspects of CAD production


• Use of a CAD Manual under a Quality Assurance System


• Organisation of CAD drawings and the maintenance of incoming and outgoing drawing registers


• Staff task budgeting, estimating etc.


• Supervision of more junior team members


• Networking with both internal and external clients


• Support the production of fee proposals in response to inquiries for review by directors.


• Support the CAD team, working to develop technical skills and responding to the directions of the Discipline Lead or Engineering Manager

Qualifications and experience required:

• Fluent ACAD drawing and detailing skills


• Experience of supervision of CAD production and CAD drawings


• Exposure to structural/building and reinforcement detailing CAD designing


• The ability to communicate competently to other professionals and external clients


• It is important that you have relevant architectural or industry structures experience, an understanding of structural design concepts, techniques and British Codes and standards


• Previous team leading experience is desirable, or the confidence to lead a busy team is essential


• Structural detailing experience in steel and RC would be an advantage


• A working knowledge of MX and 3D draughting

Candidates should have a good multidisciplinary knowledge of their field and be able to positively assist other disciplines regarding aspects of their design as it impacts CAD technician issues. The ideal candidate would fulfil a senior role within an enthusiastic team and be able to demonstrate previous people management experience.

This is a permanent position.
