OrionGroup are currently seeking a Senior CAD Designer for our prestigious client in the Renewables industry based in Central Scotland.

As Senior CAD Designer you will work within the Engineering Department developing the design of future generations of the wave power technology. 

Reporting to the Lead Engineer you will have experience of working in a product development environment.  The successful candidate will have strong 2D and 3D design draughting skills using Solidworks and related packages like PDM works for document control.

Candidates for the Senior CAD Designer position must have the following experience:
Substantial industrial design experience within a marine based engineering business.
Ability and creativity to take ideas to a conceptual design level and progress from conceptual design to detailed design level.
Good understanding of engineering practices/common standards and material selection.
Good all-round knowledge of electrical diagrams hydraulic systems and structural design.
Working within a robust Product Data Management environment.
AutoCAD/other software package knowledge would be advantageous.
