Job Description
Our client who are a worldwide provider of facilities solutions to the oil and gas production and processing industries are currently looking for a Sales and Marketing Director to be based within their Cranfield office.
Responsibilities:
Manage the continuous exploration and monitoring of the WW market to seek opportunities and give input to Technology Function of product performance envelope required to exploit opportunities and the justification
Monitor competitor activity and strategize to keep ahead.
Manage the marketing and sales strategy, process and performance.
Make sales calls and close deals for own assigned customers/region. Principal contact for corporate technical authorities in oil and service companies.
Build and manage an effective sales team of direct employees, associates and agents.
Lead tendering and contract negotiations.
Exploiting successes to multiple repeat deployments within the clients' WW operations.
Finding the opportunity and then convincing the client to buy solutions for production enhancement when they do not understand the technology nor have a budget i.e. conversion to sale.
Integrating solutions into the clients' processing facilities such that the cost or complexities of the tie-ins do not swamp the opportunity.
Managing the client through their approval processes to convert opportunities to orders.
Building the necessary rapport and credibility with the clients for a high relationship technical sell.
Finding, recruiting and retaining the sales team with the requisite sales talents and technical skills.
Educating the industry on the availability of the technology and when and how to employ
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Strong and successful sales and marketing and team management background in service sector of oil industry
Experience in marketing new technology to upstream sector on a global level
Brings an established network of relevant high level customer and third party contacts
Operations and technical experience in upstream sector
Strong interpersonal skills able to lead teams and build rapport with clients and third parties
Successful experience in building and driving performance of agents
Successful negotiator, good commercial and contractual skills
Can enthusiastically rise to the challenge
Able to travel the world regularly.
