Job Description
One of the worlds leading suppliers of electrical components is looking for a business development manager to promote a range of bespoke components into the pharmaceutical, chemical, nuclear and offshore industries.

Working from home the ideal candidate will have experience selling electrical components/connectors into the above markets. Knowledge of electrical connectors is required and experience of selling these products into the industries above, specifically oil and gas/petrochem will be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
* Identify potential markets; promote the company and products and secure new business
* Provide regular reports on development to the sales director
* Ensure continuing growth of the Hazardous Area Division, through appropriate training
* Contribute to the sales effort of the Hazardous Area Division to ensure targets are achieved

Required Experience:
* New business development/sales experience
* Sound knowledge of connectors (amphenol, lemo, military)
* Knowledge of some or all of the following industries
o Pharmaceutical
o Chemical
o Nuclear
o Oil and gas - offshore
* Negotiating and securing business with EPC consultants, distributors and key influencers
* Commercial awareness and personal presentation


The successful candidate will have drive and determination, flexibility and the ability to prioritise and react quickly.
The successful candidate will be required to travel extensively throughout the UK (and sometimes abroad) and will be required to visit the company's head office in Southampton on a regular basis.
