SYSTEMS ANALYST
Reports to: Head of Business Solutions
Whilst all applications will be considered preference will be given to candidates from Texas USA and Canada

JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure the companys Business Solution systems and data integritys seamless integration onto current systems in order to attain high availability criterions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Application Design
Gather analyze and document business requirements in order to gauge an in depth understanding of end user requirements.
Translate business requirements into high-level design specifications and prepare detailed design and technical software application requirements specifying application controls within the design.
Align solutions with business requirements in order to draw on existing applications and / or set effective and cost efficient alternative routes.
Conduct a feasibility study/impact assessment in respect of implementing proposed business requirements in order to ensure an in-depth understanding of the same.
Coordinate with relevant teams involved in the companys IT infrastructure to ensure that development test and production facilities necessary for development/ implementation are installed and readily serviceable.
Enterprise Content Management Intranet
Set adequate parameters / frameworks on business solutions in order to enhance the companys information security and effective usage.
Plan the incorporation process of business solutions onto current systems in order to ensure a seamless integration.
Perform integration testing on developed and/ or configured applications and document findings accordingly in order to ensure adequate implementation of the same.
Business Solutions Procurement Process
Provide input during the procurement of Business Solution resources from a technical aspect whilst adhering to the companys policies to ensure an uninterrupted delivery of quality goods and / or services in a cost effective manner.
Contribute towards the interpretation of the technical aspect during the procurement process with Business Solution service providers through the request for proposal developments or competition invitation documents as need be in order to remain abreast with the companys needs.
Provide input during the search initiation of contact and short listing process of Business Solution service providers from a technical standpoint in order to gain an in-depth understanding of their respective delivery capabilities.
Business Solutions Systems Integrity and Security
Plan execute and implement Business Solutions systems and data integrity in order to safeguard the companys information and ensure high availability standards are maintained.
Plan execute and implement the companys Business Solutions IT related governance risk and compliance activities so as to ensure a full adherence to the companys mandated policies & procedures.
Customisation & Programming
Customise current systems in order to ensure alignment of the same with the end users requirements.
Develop test and deploy various programs / solutions in order to ensure the continuity of the companys business needs according to IT best practices.
Business Solutions Project Management
Act as the prime focal point on managing outsourced business solution projects in order to ensure a timely completion of the project at hand according to cost time budget and quality.
Service Level Agreement Mitigation
Supervise and follow up on the implementation of service levels agreements with various contractors in order to ensure an effective communication and compliance as per the companys requirements.
Management Reporting
Ensure ongoing reporting including MIS to superiors in order to keep them abreast and informed with regard to the Systems Analysis process from a performance aspect - status as requested.
Policies & Procedures
Abide with the implementation of operational policies procedures and controls covering all areas of Business Solutions activity so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality cost-effective service to customers.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems processes and practices taking into account international best practice improvement of business processes cost reduction and productivity improvement.

PROBLEM SOLVING:
Broad Policies: Broad policy guidelines on results to be achieved. Will determine most effective approach to work identify required resources and agree with his / her manager timetables and anticipated results. Will have some delegated authority but this is unlikely to be financial in nature.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal:
At own level in other departments Section Heads Department Manager and Executive Management.
External:
Contractors and Suppliers as and when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelors in Computer Science
Diploma in a Computer related discipline would be sufficient.
Minimum Experience:
5 7 years in providing IT Business Solutions with a working knowledge in IT projects managements preferably in the Oil & Gas Sector but not a must.
