Job Title: SURF Coating Inspector
Location: Angola
Rate: Negotiable
Duration: 12 months
Our Client: Our client, a major international operator, is seeking highly skilled, experienced and capable contract employees.
The role: Inspection of Subsea Umbilical Riser Flowline (SURF) equipment Coatings and Insulation in support of offshore subsea tie-back to existing FPSO. Working Onshore on rotation with possible Offshore rotational work in later stages of the project.
Duties will include:
• Coordination with the Contractors QA/QC team related to coating application
• Review / assessment of Contractor site inspection reports
• Review of completed Quality Surveillance checklists and of Deficiency Reports
• Review of Deficiency Report and NCR close out
• Review of fabrication data books ensuring that the requirements of the specification are met
• Site inspections and verification activities in accordance with requirements of the ITP
• Coordinate quality activities with Construction Superintendents
• Performing assessments & quality audits as requested by the Quality Coordinator or In-Country Fabrication Manager.
Desirable skills and qualifications:
• NACE Level 2 coating certification; or equivalent
• ISO 9001: 2000 Auditor / Lead Auditor preferred
• Recent experience in coating inspection discipline.
• Experience in fabrication / coating / insulation of SURF Equipment. Experience with installation of Novolastic and Contratherm insulation materials is preferred.
• Evidence of training in coating inspection is required.
