Our Client, a Major International offshore contractor in the oil & gas industry, active in Offshore Transportation & Installation, Pipeline & Subsea Construction, Pipeline Design & Subsea Technology, requires a Structural Engineer to work on (FEA) Finite Element Analysis in the Engineering & Ops Dept at UK Head Offices in Surrey
Experienced FEA/Structural Engineer who will be responsible for the performance of structural analysis / engineering work within the structural analysis group, primarily finite element analysis using Ansys or Abaqus to develop advanced design solutions.
Also the performance of detailed design calculations for lift rigging, grillage and seafastenings for transportation and installation of large offshore structures.
Experience required:
Engineering background with strong analytical capability and interest in offshore engineering. Ideally, experience should have been gained in marine applications for transportation and lifting of offshore oil and gas structures.
Considerable knowledge of industry standard advanced finite element software tools is essential.
Quals Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (eg, civil/structural/marine engineering) is essential. (Preferably an MSc/PhD, but not essential)
