Job Description
Our client is looking for a Degree qualified Rotating Equipment Mechanical Engineer for a utilities project in Kazakhstan. Applicants must have a Utilities background and Russian language skills would be advantageous.

Purpose:
Provide the engineering expertise for all mechanical rotating equipment.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible for:
" Review of all design deliverable from the contractor for rotating or reciprocating machinery.
" Review of contractor generated documents related to rotating or reciprocating machinery.
" Monitoring the contractor's technical design team to ensure all design is in accordance with the technical requirements of the Scope of Work and the contract.
" Monitor the schedule for the production of deliverable to ensure conformance with the overall contract schedule and to ensure that all necessary documents are complete for submission to permitting and regulatory agencies according to the schedule.
" Overall technical quality of the discipline deliverables and compliance with accepted industry and contract practices.
" Coordination and response to all technical queries related to rotating or reciprocating machinery.
" Interface with other disciplines and the contractor.
" Review of contractor's change control submissions (VOs) related to technical issues and respond accordingly.
" Support all availability and reliability analysis.
" Input to ALARP and QRA risk analysis as necessary with overview on HAZOPS.
" Review the contractor's recommended suppliers with special attention to the quality of materials and workmanship in the contract.
" Fostering a positive working relationship with the contractor's design team.
Staff Responsibilities:
Assist as required in the management, administration and training of project personnel/systems/activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
The job holder must have:
" Registered/Chartered Engineer
" Degree in Mechanical Engineering
" Knowledge and skills commensurate with a minimum of fifteen years experience in the design of high value rotating and reciprocating machinery for the oil and gas industry
Required Competencies:
The job holder must have proven:
" Ability to identify problems and propose solutions
" Ability to make technical decisions and provide guidance.
" Good communication skills, written, verbal and presentation.
" Adaptability and problem solving capability.
" HSE awareness.
" Fluent in written and spoken English; ability to speak Russian would be an advantage
