A leading subsea company are seeking a R&D Manager for major subsea and renewables projects.

Purpose:
Manage Research and Development projects in accordance with company policies, procedures, legislation and accepted industry working practices. Provide support to our Business Units, Engineering Services and Operations with the aim of saving money, improving revenue and customer engagement.

Duties:

To implement and manage a Research and Development process based on industry best practice.

Work with Business Units to identify market requirements or opportunities to improve company performance through innovation.

Review current suite of products and identify the need for improvement and implement.

To Project manage Research and Development Projects from the office/on site and be responsible for Capital budgets and project delivery

To lead and co-ordinate in-house expertise to develop Research and Development Projects.

Contribute to the creation of business cases to justify R&D investment.

Provide technical advice and where applicable, budget costs for the development of projects

Develop and present business cases for Research and Development projects.

Collate designs, specifications, and drawings for new Research and Development Projects.

To provide support to our other offices throughout the world both from the office and on site.

To liaise, operationally with customers, suppliers and contractors.

Provide safety and technical reports at required intervals.

To provide Project Management support to Engineering Services.

Provide logistical support and cover for Mobilisation Engineers when required, interfacing with all key stakeholders.

Ensure IP and copyright protection for all designs and methods.
