JOB TITLE: Reporting Analyst
DURATION: to April 2011
LOCATION: Cambridgeshire
PAY RATE: Negotiable

The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution industry and with Oil & Gas projects offshore and overseas.
Role:
- The purpose of the role is to maintain, review and comment on the validity and reporting of a reporting unit.
- Prepare, enter and review general ledger journals inline with divisional requirements.
- Reporting of monthly accounts and budget data into Abacus reporting package
- Month end reconciliations of general ledger balances for all General ledger accounts.
- Revenue recognition.
- Ensure allocation cycles are complete and run.
- Ensure recharges are accurate, reconciled and cross charged monthly.
- Liaise with business controllers upon overhead analysis and variance accounting.
- Publish internal monthly reporting e.g. P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow forecasts, cost centre reports, expenditure analysis, Sales reports, Project profitability
- Review and maintenance of compliance with Internal Control procedures for all work areas. Including any requirements for SOX.
- Ad hoc data analysis for internal reporting & statutory requirements including monthly KPIs.
Essential Skills/Education & Experience:
- **** EXPERIENCE OF BAAN IS ESSENTIAL*****
- Current undertaking a recognised professional accountancy qualification.
- Experience gained in a financial environment with main focus on general ledger.
- Sound understanding of SAP would be an advantage
