Quality Control Engineer -



The Quality Control Engineer is designated to control and follow up all Quality Control issues towards procurement and subcontracts in the Region. The role involves working in Projects, tenders and departmental improvements, also liaising with internal and external stakeholders .



Key Responsibilities include:

Proactive provision of Service to Projects and Internal Clients.

Co-ordinate / Evaluate QC Service to the Projects and Internal Client.

Assist the Projects and Internal Client in establishing QC requirement towards their subcontractors.

Work closely with Contract and Supply Chain Management and evaluate the Quality Control requirements for the Projects and Departments procurement.

Follow up of subcontractors with respect to quality control and progress during the execution of the subcontract.

Develop Quality Control infrastructure towards Project's and Internal Client.

Develop a Best Practise system and identify right expert to the right job.

Support Project and Internal Client with Quality Control inspectors.

Review and Approve suppliers Quality Control Plans, Inspection and Test plans, i.e by specifying Hold, Witness and Review points.

Manage the Vendor Inspection Request (VIR) Database.

To provide assistance to engineering department personnel on all matters relating to Quality Control for Technical Procurement and Subcontract.

Continuously evaluate Suppliers and Sub-Contractors for short listing;

To ensure experience feed back from Projects and Internal Client. This includes feed back to the Contract and Supply Chain Management Department on the Sub-Contractors performance, as well as to other Regions.

To assist in audits of Sub-Contractors.



Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Behaviour

Professional and Service orientated.

Education in relevant engineering discipline.

Relevant working experience after graduation.

General knowledge of project management and project administration.

Acquainted in Legislation and Standards as relevant for the area of responsibility.

Qualifications
Direct Experience or equivalent
