QC Engineer - 7688 job in Kazakhstan
Purpose:
To provide support to the Companys QC Inspection Process and deliver effective technical and administrative QC Certification and Inspection Co-ordination services in accordance with KPD Quality Management and Kashagan Project Business Goals and Objectives. Including the review and acceptance of Certification and Final Documentation submissions made by Contractors and Suppliers
Accountabilities and Responsibilities: The job holder is responsible for: Assist the Head of Quality Control in providing QC Inspection resources from the QC Services Providers by being the focal point in the process of selection of QC Personnel of suitable experience and qualification for QC Inspection activiries at AKCO direct Supply Chain suppliers and manufactures. Monitor QC Inspector performance.
Support the process of assignment by raising call offs for QC services for approval. Issue documents and work assignments to QC Services Providers in compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Coordinate and administer QC activities of third party inspectors acting on behalf of Company. Co-ordinate requests for inspections originated by Suppliers as referenced in specific Inspection Test Plans. Review QC Inspection reports and take required action.
Review and approve Supplier Quality Control and Inspection and Test Plans. Attend company Meetings and Pre Inspection Meetings as required to review Contract requirements with Suppliers on company direct Purchase Orders.
Review certification, documentation and Manufacturing Record Books for compliance with contract specifications and Inspection and Test Plans. As required, attend Suppliers premises and Contractors sites and interface with other project Engineers in order to complete reviews of documentation and resolution of queries.
Maintain project files and registers in order to record status and progress of reviews and provide forward plans. Monitoring systematically and liaising regularly with QA/QC Engineers and QC Inspectors and other disciplines to ensure accurate reporting of status and progress of QC activities. Provide periodic reports on progress of reviews and input into Project monthly reports. Where necessary and at the request of Head of Q.C undertaking reviews or investigations into issues directly affecting Quality.
Qualifications & Experience: The job holder must have: Education to minimum HNC level in an Engineering discipline or equivalence gained through training, experience and professional development. Minimum 5 years experience in a QA/QC role in the Oil and Gas Industry. Knowledge and Experience of Completions Management Systems and database. Experience in operating electronic QC Monitoring systems.
Required Competencies: The job holder must have proven: Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. IT skills inputting data into information management system database. Experience in QC Inspection processes, disciplines and equipment and materials in the Oil and Gas industry. Ability to select personnel for assignments by review of resume and interview as appropriate for the assignment. Capable of coordinating and managing investigations and compliance reviews and report writing.
