Join Fircroft in this contract position for 1 year (with potential option to renew annually) to provide services in relation to the development of the Hebron Project. **Open to Canadian Citizens & Permanent Residents with preference to Residents of Newfoundland & Labrador** Closes: September 15, 2010 Location: St Johns, NL (Canada)/Oslo, Norway (1 year), St Johns for remainder of project The Quality Assurance Coordinator - Gravity Based Structure will: * Advise GBS Project Manager on Quality Management issues, status and metrics. * Resides in Topsides GBS contractors office, monitor & assist in all Quality, Procurement and Regulatory issues. * Reports to the Project Quality Manager (PQM) while ensuring establishment/proper implementation of control processes within the sub-project Project Team (PT), as per the Project Plan & Project Quality Plan. * Monitors & audits implementation of Project Team Construction & Procurement Surveillance Programs and Contractors plans/procedures. Responsibilities * Advise & inform the GBS Project Manager and PQM on Quality issues, status and metrics * Ensure establishment & implementation of adequate control processes within the subproject Project Team, as stipulated in the Project/Quality Plan(s) * Develop & coordinate Subproject Audit Schedule, conduct site audits within sub-projects and assist PQM in project audits * Perform scheduled periodic Assessments of the Contractor's activities to evaluate/monitor implementation of Contractors quality mgmt systems. * Ensure contractor is performing quality reporting per the contract. Qualifications and Experience: * Bachelor or Associate degree in Engineering or Science preferred * Min. 15 yrs in GBS construction and QA/QC with experience in all aspects of civil concrete construction * Min. 15 yrs in Quality Management with coordination of quality activities for Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Start-up projects in Oil & Gas (Additional Info. on Job Description)
