Our client is a subsea engineering and construction company and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Advisor to join their Aberdeen team.

The Quality Advisor will ensure Marine Management System complies with IMO rules and regulations. Assist and advise Offshore Resources staff on Quality issues.

Key responsibilities and associated tasks:
• Maintain and develop the Marine Management System in accordance with International Marine Legislation Procedures and other relevant internal and external requirements and ensure it is up to date and fit for purpose
• Act as contact point for Marine Management system issues and ensure improvement suggestions are incorporated in a timely manner.
• Train Offshore Resources staff on the use of the Management System.
• Give advice to other departments and Projects on marine legislation as required.
• Carry out internal International Safety Management ISM and International Ship and Port Facility Security Code ISPS audits as dictated by the codes.
• Identify Quality issues and advise on corrective actions in the marine environment and Offshore Resources department.

Capability profile Knowledge Skills Experience and Behaviours

• Marine Experience as Senior Deck / Engine Officer on ships over 500GRT or experience from Flag State / Class Society is required
• Experience as vessel master preferred
• International Safety Management ISM and International Ship and Port Facility Security ISPS codes Training required
• ISM and ISPS audit experience preferred
• Designated Person Ashore DPATraining preferred
