Our client is looking for an experienced Proposals/Project Engineer for a Staff/Permanent position.

- This is a permanent position (Contractors will not be considered)
- Candidates MUST have oil and gas experience
- Candidates MUST have proposal writing experience
- Candidates must already be residing in the UK
- Some travel to client meetings may be required

This role will attract someone who will enjoy a challenge, providing all aspects of Proposal preparation and support with Project Engineering preferably with a Mechanical bias to ensure the successful acquisition and implementation of multiple projects to meet demanding schedule requirements whilst maintaining the highest quality standards. The person will take responsibility for preparing detailed proposals for various workscopes as well as supporting the project team where necessary to allow the achievement of the businesss stated aims and objectives.

Background:
Our client has a pedigree of over 25 years and active within the oil & gas, and environmental markets providing:
• Optimisation of oil and gas production facilities primarily separation and produced water systems.
• Performance and verification testing of process equipment.
• Fluids characterisation and droplet/solids mapping on production facilities
• Technology Development
• Environmental Reviews
• Toxicity testing of production chemicals
• Mariculture

Purpose of the Post:
a) To prepare detailed proposals for studies, upgrades and skid packaged equipment including the review of the clients specifications, preparation of the proposals in line with Company standards and compiling the budgets for the workscope required.
b) The role will also include liaison with vendors and subcontractors during the tender period and the preparation of bid tabulations.
c) Communication with the Client will also be required during the tender and clarification phase.
d) Provide assistance with Project Engineering for multiple projects from front end and detail design phases, procurement, expediting, internal and external liaison, scheduling, reporting, and final implementation of projects maintaining the highest quality and schedule requirements.
e) Provide ability to promote growth areas and business development by initiating / contributing to development and diversification programs.

Qualifications/experience /personal attributes:
Candidate applying for the post should have the following:
• Preferably qualified to Degree level with five years relevant experience. A second qualification in a commercial field would be beneficial.
• Experience in Proposals/ Project engineering applications with a record of successful results.
• Technical experience in a wide range of mechanical engineering functions.
• Ability to communicate well and work in teams with all levels of staff, clients and visitors.
• Ability to multi task, use initiative, and sometimes work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
• Motivation to contribute to and develop with the company as growth / diversification continues
