Our Client has a vacancy for a Proposals Manager.

This is a permanent position, based in Sharjah, UAE.

As Proposals Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership to the proposal preparation teams, ensuring risk management which involves understanding the scope of the job, implementing bid strategies for projects, and monitoring and meeting proposal preparation budgets, ensuring risk assessment within the parameters of cost, scope and quality.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the scope of the project and inter discipline activities are fully understood and covered by all discipline engineers to ensure total scope coverage without missing areas or duplication


• Making certain that the proposal team is aware of all the technical risk elements of the project, nature of the work, and any new technology to be employed


• Ensuring that subcontract packages cover the entire scope of construction/work


• Reviewing with procurement and discipline engineers the vendors approached, problems being encountered, and develop strategies to overcome any difficulties


• Ensuring adequate vendors are being approached and their responses are received so that competitive materials and equipment pricing is obtained


• Participating in all required commercial/contractual meetings internally and ensure that all contractual and commercial issues are reviewed and clarified by the commercial department, and risks covered. Ensuring bonds and guarantees are reviewed and approved before issue

Candidates must have an engineering degree, and substantial experience with general exposure to the EPC business in home offices, and at project sites.

Our Client is looking for candidates who have extensive experience in the following:

• Sound knowledge of oil and gas, technical and project execution


• Detailed knowledge of E&C business and proposals process


• Knowledge of discipline engineering, project controls, project management, and commissioning


• General EPC project implementation experience


• Good knowledge of all commercial and contractual issues


• Good knowledge of procurement process


• Computer literate
