Job Description

We are recruiting for a Project Procurement Manager to work for one of the leading Operators based in Norway on an exciting project. This role will be a 18 months role with a view of extension, the working hours will be 5 days on 2 days off.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee prime contractor procurement activity & manage capital commitments

• Review and interpret contract procedures and provisions to ensure maximum value to the project

• Identify and deliver procurement specific cost savings to the project

• Responsible for monitoring, forecasting and reporting procurement budget and project procurement metrics

• Accountable for management of procurement interfaces (purchasing, expediting, logistics, materials management and contracts execution issues)

• Implement company leveraging tactics to add value & minimize cost/ risk to the project

• Provide oversight in the sourcing and selection process of major suppliers and contractors, incl reuests for bids, bid evaluations and approval of bid tabs and purchase orders

• Ensure contract compliance with corporate legal, ethics, regulatory, insurance, finance, tax and HSE requirements

• Oversee post contract award administration, change orders, amendments, extensions and claims

• Accountable for close-out of all procurement issues

• Guide, mentor and provide functional supervision to direct reports as applicable

• Represent the procurement organization both internally and externally, ensuring compliance with policies and applicable procurement standards

• Develop & implement procedures required to execute all activities within assigned scope (approval matrixes, authority levels, corporate procurement policies and local tendering and bidding regulations.

• Directs development of EPC Contractors procurement plans and schedules to include milestones, timely delivery and assure activities are carried out within activiti planned dates

• Establish and implement processes to meet home country and local laws/ regulations concerning export/ import

• Develop and implement long term relationship with contractors/ suppliers to assure support through all phases (incl establishment and development of local supplier network

Qualifications
Apprenticeship or equivalent
