Job Description
Our client, one of the leading owner/operators is currently recruiting for a Project Procurement Manager for the Houston area.
Directs procurement activities on single or multiple concurrent project assignments.
- Utilizes experience and business acumen to influence EPC contractors and the supplier community to accomplish the desired results.
- Leads development of procurement strategies, plans, procedures, and risk allocation, compensation structure and national content plans.
- Aligns procurement strategies with Project, Corporate and Business Unit objectives.
- Actively participates in project CPDEP phases 2 thru 4 to maximize commercial opportunities. Follows CPP CPDEP roadmap for consistent service delivery.
- Provides project-to-operations materials management transition planning and advice; manages procurement portion of the Project Execution Plan, proposal evaluations, contract reviews, negotiation strategies, site materials management, and sub-supplier/sub-contractor oversight.
- Manages Preferred Suppliers to ensure compliance, improvements, modifications and performance feedback.
- Establishes cost savings targets and reports results.
- Develops negotiation strategies with input from internal customers; acts as key commercial expert during negotiations with and as contact for major suppliers.
- Establishes and monitors processes to ensure audit compliance in functional area.
- Support the CPP central function through active participation in CPP led events. Proactively share knowledge and lessons learned within this organization. Support and/or represent the function as requested by CPP Coordinators.
