Job Description

An opportunity to work with a leading Renewable Energy company based just outside of central London.

Role: You will work as part of a team of Project Managers within this Department and within agreed project management procedures to ensure that contracted work is completed on time, within budget and within quality requirements. You will accompany the project from an agreed point in the bid / solution design process, and then manage and closely monitor the project throughout the planning, execution / controlling and closing stages. You will be instrumental in commercial and technical execution of the project, in addition you will contribute to the Lessons Learnt Data base.

Responsibilities:

- Carry out detailed Project Risk Assessments; prepare Risk Response Planning in liaison with other stakeholders.

- Complete and manage Master Document Registers for each Installation Project.

- Examine carefully the proposals from the Bids Department and identify prior to Contract Signature any significant pitfalls and provide relevant experiential input.

- Manage the project plan and ensure that it is fully up to date and available to all stakeholders

- Be the prime point of contact between the Customer and GMSL for the contracted projects in conjunction with the Clients nominated representative.

- Manage contracted projects a Carry out detailed Project Risk Assessments, prepare Risk Response Planning in liaison with other stakeholders according to established procedures; these may vary according to the nature of the project, i.e. subsea cable maintenance, telecom installation, offshore renewable installations, Oil and Gas, Power Cable, defence and survey.

- Prime person responsible to ensure project budget is maintained or better.

- Ensure best levels / balance of quality, cost, time and scope are met.

- Lead a diverse Project Team of Fleet and Office personnel to a common goal.

- Mentor and support an Assistant Project Manager when required.

- Report on project performance internally (and externally as required) at frequent & regular intervals, using dedicated Project Accountants & Software.

Experience/ Qualifications:

Required:-

Be versatile with a Microsoft Office EPM (Enterprise Project Management) Environment

Proven experience working within a cross-functional environment.

Knowledge of the marine engineering industry, encompassing telecoms, power, Oil and Gas and Offshore Renewables.

Experience of managing Offshore customers in the Oil and Gas and Power Cable industry.

Strong and demonstrable Project Management skills.
