Job Description

Purpose: The Projects Coordination Group is responsible for Projects Delivery, Project Integration, Project Risk & Assurance and the preparation of Technical Approvals (major contracts & major Changes in scope) for company Management approval, in readiness for Co-Venture partners and Republic of Kazakhstan Authority approval and endorsement. The Projects Integration Engineer will support both the Projects Integration Manager and the Change Management & Interface Manager in delivering Integration Activities. The Projects Integration Engineer will be accountable for: Developing and optimizing Integrated Project Schedule and the Integrated Activities developed for Agent Delegated Work. Providing the analysis of scheduling impacts of both Potential Change Notices and of Critical Interfaces. Providing the Strategy Planning (SP) group with the short term delegated work Project Execution Schedules information that the SP need in order to complete the long term Venture Reference Plan. Accountabilities and Responsibilities: The job holder is accountable for: Reviewing and optimizing the Integrated Project Schedule (IPS) for work delegated to Agents and specifically focusing on the integration of Phase I, Phase II and Development Studies schedules. Using the resource allocation functions of the IPS to review and optimize the Integrated Activities Plan (IAP) and identify critical integrated resource allocation issues. Providing the analysis and scheduling impacts of both Potential Change Notices and of Critical Interfaces and specifically being able to identify if the schedule impacts are duration or resource driven. Using both the IPS and the IAP to provide the Strategy Planning (SP) group with the short term (0 to 5 years) delegated work project execution schedule information that the SP need in order to complete the long term Venture Reference Plan (0 to 30 years).

The job holder is responsible for: Working closely with the Cost & Schedule department, Development Studies department and the Delivery Managers and Engineers to review and verify the data required for the IPS and IAP. Using the IPS to quickly highlight resources allocation problems that include, for instance, manpower and any other resources needed by the Project. Providing the analysis and scheduling impacts of both Potential Change Notices and of Critical Interfaces and specifically being able to identify if the schedule impacts are duration or resource driven. Working with Agents and Delivery Managers to address and resolve issues and conflicts. Working with the Change Management Coordinator and Interface Engineer and Risk & Assurance Manager to ensure that the data in the IPS and the IAP includes Potential Change Notices and Critical Interfaces. Working with the Strategy Planning (SP) department to determine in what form SP need the short term (0-5 year) delegated work schedule and resource data for SP to incorporate it into the long term (0-30 year) Venture Reference Plan and providing that data to SP. Working with the Codes and Standards group to understand timeline for the RoK adoption of International Standards and to include critical Standards into the IPS and the IAP. Developing Primavera data extraction algorithms to swiftly and regularly provide information to users in particular the company Committee meetings. Using ecompany to communicate synopses of both the IPS and IAP to the Project Coordination Department and other Departments as required. Ensuring consistent input and integration with the Venture Reference Plan. Supporting the Projects Integration Manager in responding to ad-hoc information and data requests from company Management, Partners and RoK.

Qualifications & Experience: The job holder must have: B.Sc. Eng equivalent (or higher); Minimum 10 years experience in project management of oil and gas projects; Experience with Project Integration & Scheduling Processes; Experience with Project Performance Evaluation; Experience with multi-national and multi-company projects; Experience in working in the former Soviet Union or Caspian region, prior Kashagan Development experience would be of value.

Required Competencies: Understanding of complex Project Development and Project Operational Readiness and Handover. Computer skills including experience of PRIMAVERA and MS project. Good interpersonal and relation management skills. Good problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to prioritise issues. Ability to influence Agent representatives. Proficient in English, with good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work constructively within a multicultural environment.
