Job Description

Our client, a global engineering services group, seeks an outstanding Project Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. Suitable Project Engineers will have a background in the Power/Energy industry, and be required to work on Proposals and FEEDs for the development of Carbon Capture Systems. Candidates will. work to develop and communicate work scopes to the team, as well as create deliverables lists and reports for presentation to clients. Other responsibilities will include-

· Day to day support of the management of the engineering team, coordinating design and specification for procurement of all equipment in connection with specific project.

· Creation and regular review of engineering work breakdown structure, execution plan and programme including engineering team deliverables, cost allowances and resource profile.

· Management of engineering schedule, resources and associated budgets

· Establish clear communication lines within the project team to ensure that they are fully informed in all aspects of the project

· Responsibility for outsourced design or supplies and management of subcontractors

· Liaison and co-ordination with Project Manager / client both on a regular basis including through participation in design review meetings

· Negotiation and agreement of work scope change and support production of contract deviations and clarifications

· Co-ordination of the release of technical documentation to and from the project team, providing prompt resolution of any identified issues, to ensure timely and effective delivery of project.

· Help develop the technical risk assessment document ensuring identification of probability of occurrence and agreed mitigation measures.

Suitable candidates will be HNC/HND with relevant industrial experience. A degree in an Engineering discipline as well as having or working towards Chartered Engineer status are both highly desireable for this role.
