Our client is a specialist in providing innovative, electrical, instrumentation and electronic solutions for the oil and gas industry. Due to successfully winning new work, they are expanding their engineering team and they are in a position to recruit an electrical controls and instrumentation project engineer to work within the existing team. This role could be an excellent opportunity for someone to continue developing their skills and become in the long term a key member of the project team.
 
They are currently recruiting for 2 project engineers to join their team in Aberdeen. Their project engineers are tasked with taking projects from inception to completion, through initial client brief, design, manufacture, installation and commissioning and you will play a fundamental part of the team at many of these stages.
You will be responsible for the design, build, installation and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems to a variety of projects onshore, offshore and internationally. We're looking for someone who is up for a challenge, who can manage their time well, who can interface with clients professionally and can deliver the job well and on time.
 
You will be responsible for carrying out rig surveys and collating the condition of existing systems, devising requirements for improvement and modification, organising requirements such as materials, scope of work and manpower. Good communication and literacy skills is essential for the role as there will be a requirement to report back to clients. Programming experience of PLC and Scada systems would be a significant advantage.

They can offer a rewarding position in terms of exposure and variety of work along with excellent prospects to earn a good level of remuneration. In basic terms, their salary package may be in the region of 40-45k (potentially negotiable for the right applicant) however inclusive of their offshore allowances and bonuses the successful candidate could expect to earn in the region of 60k depending on the level of work.
