Description
Our client is a key company in the maintenance engineering sector and they would like to recruit a Project Controls Engineer to work as part of a team managing contracts in the North Sea area.
The company has seen strong growth in the past 12 months and this appointment is to be made in conjunction with that expansion to facilitate new contracts secured by the organisation.
- Ensure the department leads and supports the organisation
- Provide commercial guidance to ensure that other areas of the business are aware of implications of decisions.
- Managing risk in creating business value for the company
- Develop relationships with other departments to raise awareness of commercial issues
- Effectively communicate and build relationships with other relevant departments to raise commercial awareness.
- Review and establishment contractual agreements with clients and sub-contractors
- Initiate invoicing of customers in line with commercial and contractual arrangements.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Participate in the review of departmental processes Skills
The client is willing to consider candidates from a number of backgrounds and industries for this role. Their ideal skill set would be project controls from Oil & Gas but if some one is working in heavy engineering or construction then they will be considered.
To be suitable for the role you could be from the following background:
- Working in a project controls role in Oil & Gas in an intermediate Cost Engineer or Project Controls Engineer role.
- Working within heavy engineering i.e Rail, Power, Water, Petro-chem and Pharmaceutical in a Project Controls role
- Working within the construction industry either in a Quantity Surveyor role
- Other relevant job titles include Quantity Surveyor, Cost Engineer, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Project Controls Engineer, Commercial Engineer. Benefits
