Job Description
Join Fircroft in this contract position for 1 year (with potential option to renew on an annual basis) to provide services in connection with the Hebron Project. **Open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with preference to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador** Deadline for CV's: Sept. 15, 2010 Location: Houston (1.5 years), International (Korea - 2 years), St Johns NL (1 year) Responsibilties * Proactive quality assurance/control and technical consulting and expertise in the area of Procurement Quality Coordination within the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contractor's facility. * Implement EM Procurement Surveillance Plan assessments/verifications key responsibility. * This is an International resident position at EPC contractors engineering & procurement locations, then at international fabrication facility. Tasks: For Long Lead Equipment purchases: * Review Purchase Orders (POs) and establishes quality requirements utilizing an ITP * Verify corrective action implemented by Vendor & provide follow up status * Coordinate & monitor inspection personnel & activities, including preinspection meetings with vendors providing critical material & equipment EPC Procured Equipment * Ensure Contractor develops procedure for PO quality administration & oversight of Vendor activities * Monitor Contractor processes & Interface with the Contractors Quality personnel to ensure Contractor stewards resolution of issues aligns with Project requirements. * Endorse critical bidders and sub-suppliers; Participate in RFQ package review & bid proposals Qualifications: * Associate degree in Engineering or related field with formal quality assurance/auditor/assessor training * 15 yrs experience with major engineering/purchasing Contractor and/or Client, experience as Inspection Coordinator/Chief Inspector or equivalent. * Skilled in mgmt, dvlpmt and implementation of quality surveillance plans and programs (Further info in Job Description)
