Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is to provide specialist technical input into the delivery of process related projects and to develop process related opportunities into projects either in growing new work areas with current clients, or by developing business with new clients. They will need to interface with the Asset Optimisation Practice team as a whole and other Practices, building strong working relationships. The role will focus on asset optimisation and cover conceptual, feasibility and front end design studies through to debottlenecking and troubleshooting of operational assets for offshore platforms, pipelines, gas processing terminals and LNG facilities.
The Consultant will have broad or specialist technical skills and knowledge of direct relevance to the work of the Asset Optimisation Practice. He/she will provide technical contribution to projects through governance, mentoring and training relating to a wide range of process engineering services provided to the oil and gas industry.
The Consultant will be responsible for delivery of agreed technical projects and reports for specific customers to the highest standard, contribute to business development activities of the practice and identify further opportunities to deploy skills and capabilities with our clients.
Key Accountabilities:
Delivery: Undertake specialist technical delivery relating to Asset Optimisation projects and support Managers / Senior Consultants in providing technical governance in area of expertise as required
Business Development: Supports Senior Consultants and Account Management team in identifying, developing and closing qualified opportunities with customers and accounts. Will typically generate more than £250k of new business per year through leading sales activities.
Customer Relationships: Develop and manage strong customer relationships and support Managers / Senior Consultants in establishing the company as a Trusted Advisor. Generates and follows up proposals for work as well as responding to customer requests.
Positioning: Work closely with Managers / Senior Consultants to develop a clear understanding of our customers current and emerging business needs
People: Work closely and collaboratively with Managers / Senior Consultants to deliver the agreed targets of the Practice. Providing specialist advice to customers, either as a project resource, or directly for fee income or as part of the account management and sales activities
Reporting: Produce effective internal or customer reports on a regular basis

Technical / Professional Expertise and Qualifications Required
Chemical/Process Engineering Degree
Chartered Engineer
Demonstrable technical expertise and experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry, ideally in a consultancy company
Industry and market knowledge directly relevant to the business opportunities identified
Project management experience of consultancy projects and preferably evidence of programme management through repeat business
Experience in process modelling, techno-economic analysis, availability/reliability modelling, debottlenecking, flow assurance, performance improvement or conceptual/FEED work also beneficial.
Ability to use RAM modelling, process modelling (HYSYS) or flow assurance (OLGA) software.
