Responsibilities:
- May work in the following disciplines: R&D, Petroleum, Chemical or Reservoir.
- Recognized internally and externally as an expert in Production Chemistry or more disciplines.
- Sells production solution value.
- Projects are of significant size and complexity incorporatingproduct development, multiple enhancements, product application, and influence on related product lines.
- Solves unusual or complex problems requiring understanding of specialty with little assistance.
- Has significant impact on product and solution design, cost, performance, and methods/standardization, customer solutions, cost minimization.
- Jointly develops objectives with functional management and teams
- Plans, conducts and directs research and/or development work on complex projects necessitating the organization and application of new and unique approaches.
- Projects involve substantial expenditures.
- Plans and directs projects by providing technical guidance to team members.
- Accountable for resource requirements, establishment and delivery of project schedule.
- May represent the organization in outside discussions and technical forums.
- Generally works with wide latitude in making antonymous decisions.
- Handles special projects as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Ensures mentoring and training activities are aligned with the technology strategy.
- Directs mentoring and training activities.
- Provides work direction and mentoring for less experienced Production chemist.
- Provides formal and informal training internally and externally.
- Sphere of influence includes primary advisor to global operations and customers in addition to engineering groups, support organizations, vendors, and joint ventures product development and commercialization.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in Production Chemistry, Production Optimization solutions and planning.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to build peer relationships, as well as work independently.
- Advanced problem solving and project management skills.
- Excellent organization, planning and presentation skills
- Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and customer focused with a drive for results.
- Sound ability to manage time, make quality decisions, and manage and measure work.
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor\\\'s Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required
- Currently seeking candidates for multiple opportunities varying in experience
- Experience levels range from 8 years to Principal positions of over 15 years
