Principal Over Head Lines Design Engineer - Horsham/Leicester

Qualifications:

Project: Power Transmission, Electricity Alliance West

• The review of method statement/risk assessments ad the production, checking approval of CDS documents and associated drawings

• Liaisons with construction/site management to ensure design interpretations are correct at every stage of the project life

• Liaisons with construction/site management to ensure design interpretations are correct at every stage of the project life.

• Liaison with the client/consultant on construction methodologies

• Production and checking of all construction activities within tender documentation prior submission.

• The enhancement of developing Engineers and technicians through mentoring

Knowledge / Experience

• Must be educated to HNC level (or equivalent)
• Substantial construction experience in the OHL Transmission industry
• TP144A authorised in accordance with NG Transmission procedures
• Must have an understanding of OHL construction practices which should include foundation setting out/construction, structure assembly/erection, conductor erection including earthing and all temporary works
• Must have detailed understanding of all relevant standards affecting construction of OHL works including temporary works
• Must have an understanding of current SHE Legislation and the impact on OHL construction
