Job Title: Principal Mechanical Engineer Location: Aberdeen Rate/Salary: Neg Duration: Ongoing The Company: Our client appears in the FTSE 100 index and is an international energy services company specializing in Oil and Gas and has annual revenues of over 2.6 billion. The Role: Ensure technical competence of Mechanical personnel under their supervision is matched to the work in hand Ensure work output of Mechanical personnel under their supervision complies with the relevant standards & procedures. Provide technical assistance to Mechanical personnel as required. Ensure all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule Be conversant and knowledgeable with respect to current and new legislation and standards Prepare engineering and construction scope for both man-hours and equipment estimates and assist in the review of proposed schedules. Ensure that results of any development work are fully utilised in Mechanical activities Providing documentation and drawing deliverables for inclusion in workpacks and design books to meet offshore deadlines Producing cost effective designs that are fit for purpose and safe Assist the Lead Mechanical Engineer when requested Carry out short term offshore visits. Essential Skills/Qualifications - Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical engineering discipline or suitable experience backed up by an engineering qualification. - Chartered. - Broad experience of vessels and heat exchangers with sufficient offshore experience in Brownfield engineering and work packs. - Shall have experience of: Pressure Vessels and tanks; Heat Exchangers; Brownfield work packs for vessel/HX TAR work.
