This is a senior position in an electrical design role.

Staff at this level would normally be expected to perform work involving considerable independence in approach, demanding originality, ingenuity and judgement. Duties are assigned in terms of broad objectives and reviewed for policy, soundness of approach, accomplishment and effectiveness. The individual will make technical decisions not usually subject to review and will determine courses of action necessary to expedite accomplishment of projects. In turn they are expected to carry out independent technical assessment of other project's designs.

The principal engineer will work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team including other professional engineers and may plan, assign, review and approve the work of these technical staff. A proactive and flexible attitude is essential for this role. Close contact and liaison with customers and suppliers will often be required.

Your work will involve:
? The design and specification of bespoke electrical supply and
Control systems
? Developing designs from concept to system commissioning
? Meeting customer requirements, codes, statutes and directives

These positions would ideally suit applicants with at least 10 years relevant experience, educated to degree/HND (or equivalent) level.
It would be an advantage to have:
Experience working in a Defence or Nuclear environment
Experience working in medium/heavy engineering
