CCL (cclglobal.com) has been requested by a major EPC contractor to provide a Principal Civil Engineer to work in Kazakhstan on 6/2 rotation. Will supervise, assign & schedule work under direction of Chief Engineer. May supervise specialised technical sub-groups. Contract status under one year (renewable) contract. Excellent rates / T&Cs. Degree / Diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent / experience. Proficient in use of Word / Excel and other relevant software including AutoCAD. Fluent written & spoken English. 8-12 years experience. Preferably 3-5 years of relevant Area / Unit Lead Engineer experience in Oil & Gas sector. Will mentor & coach staff. Assist developing / implementing Civil / Structural Engineering admin. & technical practices, specs. & procedures. Monitors / implements quality checking procedures. Responsible for developing Project Civil / Structural Engineering CTRs for review. Responsible for input into Plot Plan, GA etc. Ensures design continuity. Reports to Chief Engineer status of civil / structural engineering activities. Ensures communication within Civil /Structural Engineering & other disciplines. Coordinates Civil / Structural design activities with other engineering groups. Identifies deviations in job scope / estimates changes. Prepares / distributes design instructions. Represents Civil / Structural Engineering in meetings with suppliers, subcontractors, licensors, clients, other disciplines; & produces documentation. Submits Project Design specs., documents & drawings. Assists in development of project completion report. Stand in for Chief Engineer. On assignment in field, coordinates or carries out work on site surveys, measurements, acts of acceptance etc.
