Our client is a leading offshore and subsea oil and gas contractor with operations worldwide. They are now actively looking for the following staff person based in Aberdeen.

Principal Engineer - Head of Analysis

To support the engineering activities of the Group in terms of advanced and non-conventional structural analyses and numerical simulations. To support the activities of the Group in terms of the development of new methodologies to be applied to structural design activities.

Responsibilities:
Manage engineering resources within the Analysis group.
Be actively involved in developing training programmes for the engineers within the Analysis group.
Assist the Engineering Manager in recruiting.
Ensure sound engineering is performed and presented in a professional manner.

Qualifications & Experience:
University or College Engineering education to BSc/BEng or higher and / or appropriate Industry training In Engineering.
Hold current offshore Oil & Gas UK & OLF Medical and Survival in-date Certificates.
Previous professional experience with the offshore industry.
In depth knowledge of one or more of the following areas and general knowledge of the others: Offshore Lift Analysis; Sea Fastening Design and Rigid Spool Design.
Broad knowledge of the design codes used within the offshore industry namely the NORSOL the British Standard and the API codes.
Conversant with the requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Standard and have knowledge of UK and Norwegian Safety Regulations.
