Our Client, a Major Oil and Gas, design and construction contractor is seeking a Planning Manager to be based initially in their office in Middlesex, UK before relocating to Australia (date TBA)
REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Collaborate effectively across interfaces with Project Delivery leadership.
• Enable prompt and proactive decision making by project leadership by identifying potential risks and opportunities.
• Provide functional support to project controls delivery teams for discipline process and procedure.
• The ability to work with others (Project Leadership, Project Controls Leadership, Project Delivery Teams, PC Delivery Teams, peers).
• Give clear and consistent messages to Project Controls leadership.
• Provide timely and accurate information.
• Ability to consider the impact of change and mitigation to the overall schedule forecast.
• Analytical thinking.
• Judgement.
• Harnessing Uncertainty.
• Drive and Decisiveness.
• Motivating Others.
• Working Together.
• Communicating.
Preferred:
• Resource the team with individuals of the right calibre with the appropriate capabilities and skills
• Ability to understand the wider components of the project sufficiently to inform the schedule
JOB SCOPE:
• Enable the Downstream project leadership to understand the schedule position, key schedule risks and to work with them to develop mitigating actions to enable the project to recover and/or stay on plan.
• Provide guidance to the PCT delivery teams on schedule process and procedure.
• Provide a consistent and consolidated view of the Downstream schedule information (integrated Level 1 and Level 2 information, schedule forecast and change control).
• Provide a coherent and consolidated view of project controls that is accurate and makes sense to people in the context of their work.
• Present schedule information and analysis of the information together with options to recover back to plan as appropriate.
• Liaise with Cost, Estimating and Risk PCT leaders to present an overall project controls view of the Downstream project.
• Provide early warning of potential risk or actual deviation from plan.
• Promote PCT services to project customers and Downstream Leadership team.
• Support PCT Leaders by being able to speak on their behalf about project controls in general and schedule in particular.
• Provide accurate information, analysis (including the robust challenging of why risks have arisen) and options for mitigation.
Key Deliverables are:
• Overall performance measurement
• Analysis of schedule and progress
• Audit plan and close out of actions
• Schedule forecast
Duration: 2 years plus
